R7000 Nighthawk Smart Wireless Router Setup

There are different methods to connect a router to the modem and extender; it can be wireless or wired. So, first let’s connect the router to the power and carry on with the Nighthawk setup.

R7000 Nighthawk Router Setup

You have to connect your router to the modem which you can easily do with the help of the Ethernet cable;

• Connect cable to the modem LAN port.
• Connect cable to the router WAN port.
• Then turn on the router and modem by connecting them to power.
• Now, wait for the router power light to turn solid white color.

Then, you have to the log in to the Nighthawk Smart Wireless router interface.

R7000 Router Settings

• Connect the computer/laptop to the router network via SSID or LAN cable.
• You have to choose the updated web browser in your internet device.
• Here, you must type the URL www.routerlogin.net or IP address 192.168.1.1 to reach to interface login page.
• By reaching to the login page on computer screen, you have to type the admin username and password.
• You will find the Nighthawk admin password and username (credentials) on the label of the product or user manual of R7000 router.

• Just enter the credentials and access the interface, where you can adjust the R7000 router settings.

Change Network Name and Password

• Connect computer to the router network via LAN cable.
• Access the routerlogin.net interface in your device.

• Go to the Setting that is located on the header of the website.
• Select the Wireless Network settings and change the password of the router.

Create Guest Network

• On the main page, you have click on the ‘Guest Network’.
• Simply, tick on the Enable Guest Network and enter the name of the network.
• Select the security type and type in the password and SAVE.

Reset R7000 WiFi Router

Find the RESET pinhole button on the R7000 Nighthawk Smart WiFi router and long press it using a sharp object. This will start the Nighthawk router reset process.

After that you have to log into the R7000 router again and setup the Nighthawk Smart WiFi router again.
